I have no idea how to make a website the way the cool kids do today.

Very cool piece from an 'old guard' that speaks a lot to my prejudices preferences. I do understand why React, Vue et al make a lot of sense in certain situations - Max Stoiber's "Why I write CSS-in-JS helped me appreciate what other people might gain from CSS-in-JS approaches, for example - but for my day-to-day work, they mostly don't.

Which is why my experience with any modern JS framework is still quite limited, and most job descriptions look rather unattainable to me. That's okay, though - they usually look undesirable to me, too. (via @meyerweb)
